Handprint Projects

CO2eq handprint projects are planned in addition to abatement and participating in climate protection projects, in order to take responsibility for one's own emissions and make a contribution to climate protection. Unlike with the CO2eq footprint, the focus of the CO2eq handprint is not on avoiding or reducing the personal climate-harming activities associated with emissions, rather the steps a person can take to have a positive impact on the global climate. In some cases, the exact impact cannot be quantified. These could include investments in new technologies, climate protection projects, research projects on reducing CO2eq, possibly projects on how to adapt to the consequences of climate change, social innovations, etc. Awareness-raising measures and an idea contest are being planned to identify suitable projects.
