Faculty Roadmaps

As a key foundation for the university-wide Climate 2030 Roadmap, the faculties have developed individual roadmaps in collaboration with the Office of Sustainable Development. Through a participatory process, they examined their greatest challenges and opportunities for action in the area of climate change and based on this analysis defined their own goals and concrete implementation measures through 2030.

Considering those factors, the faculty roadmaps take into account the different framework conditions, academic cultures, and fields of activity of the faculties and make it possible to concretely embed climate protection where there is room for action and opportunities for shaping policy. At the same time, they create a common foundation for implementation within the faculties and strengthen the sense of responsibility and participation among faculty members.

The goals and measures outlined in the faculty roadmaps are incorporated into the development of the university-wide Climate Roadmap 2030 and help to embed climate protection, resource conservation, and the improvement of environmental performance across the university’s various areas.
